Invisiware® Receivers
The tensioners that are hidden inside the post.
The Invisiware® receiver is designed to be used with our swaging stud. When the appropriate receiver is selected for a particular type and size of end post, the result is a tensioning mechanism that is hidden within the post itself. Only the head area of the receiver will be exposed out of the post. The head area is the domed shaped end of the receiver that is larger than the body of the receiver. It acts as a shoulder to support the tension of the cable as it is tightened. The outside of the domed head is broached with a hex broach to accept an Allen wrench to tension the cable.
Use with metal or wood - on level runs or stairs
Invisiware® receivers are used with pipe and with round, square or rectangular metal tubing. Pipe ends are counterbored, so the full perimeter of the head rests on a flat surface in the pipe. The head rests on the outside wall of a flat-sided metal post. A plastic washer is included and acts as a scratch resistant barrier between the head of the receiver and the metal post.

For use in wood, the Invisiware® receiver can rest against the outside of the post or the post can be counterbored with the receiver recessed in the post. For wood applications, also order 7/16 SAE stainles steel washer.
You do not have to drill your holes at an angle to use Invisiware® receivers on stairs or severe pitches up to 35 degrees.

Adjust-A-Jaw® Tensioners
Sleek, stainless steel tensioners that mount on the outside of your post.
The Adjust-A-Jaw® tensioner is a clevis style fitting that provides a considerable amount of take-up. The Adjust-A-Jaw tensioner has four different elements; the clevis; the body; the lock nut; and the swaging ferrule (ordered seperately).
The clevis has a male thread that mates with a female thread within the body. The lock nut locks the male thread into place against the body after the assembly is properly tensioned. When the swaging ferule is swaged onto the cable, it holes the body to the cable while also allowing the body to rotate on the cable during tensioning.
The Adjust-A-Jaw® tensioner is the most streamlined clevis style adjusting mechanism available for its stated cable sizes. It is ideally suited for stair pitches and is also a very attractive fitting if you want the "high-tech" look of exposed stainless steel hardware on level runs as well as on stairways.
